  OSA RESEARCH OPPORTUNITIES

With the high level of biological diversity found on the Osa Peninsula, Costa Rica, there are many research opportunities for biologists and conservationists. We currently conduct long-term monitoring of leaf litter amphibians, primates, birds, and sea turtles at the Osa Biodiversity Center, our Costa Rican biological field station and conservation center.

We are also conducting forest restoration work that involves enrichment plantings and experimenting with artificial bat roosts and bird boxes to increase seed dispersal in the restoration plots. These areas provide many research opportunities in tropical forest regeneration and restoration in Costa Rica.

We are currently looking for an experienced botanist to conduct work on our conservation properties on the Osa Peninsula.

We are also looking for a bat researcher to study seed dispersal in our forest restoration projects.

If you are interested in any of these Osa research opportunities, please contact our Science Program Manager.

If you are a professor or group leader interested in bringing a biology field course to Costa Rica, learn about the Osa Biodiversity Center facilities or contact our OBC Operations Manager with specific questions about availability and resources.
